Endless Summer: Stories from Days That Last Forever by Elin Hilderbrand

A mix that didn't quite work...
It was fun to revisit some familiar characters, but I just didn't like the format of prequels, sequels, a novella, etc. It felt disjointed and pasted together.
But I needed a break from some serious nonfiction and this did the trick.

Some of the stories were good and interesting! And others were not.

Once I realized the last 2 chapters were the same books and I didn’t really care about there characters I DNF.

Maybe I’ll go back and reread this if I read those books.

I'm a big fan of Elin Hildebrand...if she writes a book, I'm reading it. Clearly there are some that I like more than others, but I've never disliked any, and I felt this to be nice compliment to so much of what I've enjoyed over the years. It was a cute little compilation to add to the mix and wrap up some of the stories she's written in her career.

This low review is partially my fault. I did not realize this was a book of short stories until I picked it up to read it, which is not really what I wanted to read. Every time I got invested in a story it was over and time to move on to the next one. The stories mostly tie in to other books and while I have actually read a lot of them it's hard to immediately recall the characters that are being referenced.

Too hard to get into a short story based on a book I didn’t read. But liked the few from books I had.

I hadn't realized this was a bunch of short stories. In general I don't care for short stories and this was especially hard because they were stories based off her other books and I couldn't remember all the characters. Not worth reading unless you read all Elin Hilderbrands books back to back so you remember the characters 2/5

Not your typical Hilderbrand book.

Lots and lots of characters, interesting names.

I have read the majority of the books these short stores are associated with, but I don’t remember them all.
