This duet starts off with SO much going on upfront in the lives of Olivia Damien and Jaxson. So many lies, so much deceit, truths to uncover, every page brings a new revelation. This story sucks you in from the get go, the suspense will leave you begging for the next book. I really enjoyed the detailed emotions these three got caught up in. And who can forget the HEAT between them! Holy hotness Batman! This one will leave you panting for the next book.

Olivia Reed is married to Damien yet her heart also belngs to Jaxon Stone whom she hasn't seen in 3 years. Yet when he comes back she realizes that she can't say no to him, even if it means cheating on Damien.

Yet secrets are hidden about Jaxon and Damien and their original link to Olivia.

Will Olivia find out the truth before it's too late for all of them?

Wow - this book has so many twists and turns. This book does involve cheating so if you are not ok with that, then skip this one.

Olivia was married to Damien yet she seemed alone a lot until Jaxon came back and Damien had something to fight for. Yet the past between the three of them seems very blurred and things happened in the past that definitely left me confused and knowing there was way more to the story than we could have possibly guessed.

Jaxon "gave" Olivia to Damien for a reason and I was super curious to discover what it was. He was obviously in love with her and very protective over her so I was having trouble putting everything together. Damien was confusing me as he hated Olivia with Jaxon yet at the same time he knew it was still happening and I had no idea why.

The end left my jaw hitting the ground as I really wasn't expecting that huge bomb to be dropped. Then certain things began to fall into place and made me understand parts more clear.

The very end was a total shock and now I need the next book!!

Don’t Let Me (The Simplicit Duet #1)
By Marie Skye

I have been waiting a long time for a new release from one of my favourite authors, Marie Skye, so I was extremely eager to get my hands on Don’t Let Me, the first book in the Simplicit Duet and as expected it didn’t disappoint at all! It was everything that I have come to love from this author, it had the heat she writes so well, the passion that she gets across to the reader and it had the characters that she makes me fall in love with as soon as I start reading about them. The secrets, the twists and the turns make for one captivating read. I always find it hard to write reviews of Ms Skye’s books not because they are bad, far, far from it but because it’s so easy to give away spoilers and I do not want to do that – so – what I will say is whether you are new to this author or not you absolutely should one click this book today! It is an amazing read and I cannot wait for the next part to see what happens!!

Holy Smokes!! This is one of the crazy mixed up story! Dang just as I thought I was figuring things out? Another twist I didn’t see coming. This is awesome storytelling. To be able to Bring in the Reader then slowly reveal tidbits about the characters/situation. Amazing! At times I’m sitting here with a frown on my face...thinking why? Why would you do that??? Act like that??? But don’t worry ALL is revealed. From looking at the cover this isn’t a book Type that I typically read. But I have read all this authors books and love them so I tried to grit my teeth and bear it. I loved the story underneath besides all the extremely H-O-T sexy times. (*fans Self*). These characters are very well done! I really can’t say enough good things about this book.

I would be curious how the author wrote this book. From beginning to end? Or past then Present? She did a wonderful job not spoiling anything along the way but leaving holes that my inquiring mind wanted to know. This is quite the love triangle and I can’t wait for the second book.

This is a must read story! I loved how I was pulled right into the story right from the beginning. The story is creative, engaging and made me feel as if I was part of the story. This story is about betrayal, secrets and you don’t want to miss the steam. Olivia, Damien, and Jaxson took me on an emotional ride that I couldn’t get enough off. They are strong characters but really Olivia is the one holding them all together, my favorite. This is a must read triangle romance you don’t want to miss.

Oh this book...oh this author...every time Marie Skye puts words on paper my heart bursts! Every book, while each story is different, has the same underlying WOW!

This story seems to be a love triangle with the hint of a love threesome. But then there’s the danger of Olivia’s birth father and the sneakiness of Jaxon AND Damien. I really don’t know which one I am cheering for...oh wait yes, I do. It’s Olivia!

I love the title of this book because I had to say it plenty of times while reading it... “don’t let me” throw my kindle, “don’t let me” wake my sleeping family from my yelling, “don’t let me” message this author what I am feeling right now!

And I love reading books. I love reading series. I even like reading books with cliff hangers but when I don’t even see the cliff coming!! O.M.G. way to go Marie Skye! Way. To. Go. Definitely looking forward to book 2.

Don’t Let Me is the first book in the Simplicit Duet by Marie Skye. I fell in love with Ms. Skye’s work while reading the Incapable Series, where her books branded themselves on my soul, and have read every new release since then. I had been anticipating this book for a while now, so I was really excited to finally have it in my hands. I had no doubt that this book would be every bit as good as Ms. Skye’s previous ones, if not better- so I couldn’t wait to dive in. I am happy to report that this story is all that I could have hoped for, and more…… it’s delicious- completely addictive and different from her other books. It’s quite intense and emotive, as we have come to expect from Ms. Skye- but is one of those books you come across from time to time where you get so caught up in the story that when the end comes you flick over the page hoping to keep reading, wanting desperately for the story to continue, all the while thinking “what, wait- what the hell did I just read?” Well, this is one of ‘those’ books! I need that second book Stat! That ending- OMG!!!
Do yourself a favour and grab a copy, you won’t regret it! Highly recommended reading! Bring on Book #2!!!!!
Brilliant!

Thank-you Ms. Skye!

UGH!! This author!! When I finished this book and proceeded to pick my kindle up from where I threw it I could only imagine her sitting there when she finished this book with one of the most evil laughs thinking “Yes..this will do nicely” LOL Marie Skye always has a way of making every book I read by her a favorite. I love her no nonsense approach to writing and the way she never adds in any unneeded fluff, you know every word you read is important to the storyline in one way or the other.

For the record this author is among my favorites of all time and I will always read whatever she comes up with...Im just kind of hoping she comes up with the next book in this duet like maybe Today? OMG!!

I loved this story, I loved the writing and the uniqueness of the storyline and the time hops were done in a way that allowed me to never get confused, they actually always came right when I needed them. I read this in one sitting and since it has been awhile since I've read one of this authors books it made me want to jump back in to all of them and reread.

It goes without saying I can not wait for the next in this series and will be the first in line the second it is released.

LOVED IT!!

Don't Let Me (Simplicit Duet Book 1) by Marie Skye was an intriguing and sizzling
read. There were things I loved and things I hated and it was as frustrating as it was
addicting. AND OMG the ending, well let’s just say I went, NO she did not!, you can’t
be serious. It just puts everything I had read in doubt. It is a story of a love triangle
that is so sizzling you will need a cold shower. I both loved and hated the main
characters but they were well written and the story and mystery kept the pages
turning. Marie has well in the weaving of the plot and where everyone stands or at
least where everyone you though stands. There are secrets and lies, betrayal and
hurt but there is also so much love. But come to the end and all bets are off and like I
said earlier, NO she did not!, that came from so far out left field there is no more left.
Olivia is drawn into a relationship with one man who is in games with another man
but she doesn’t know and falls in love with them both. When her past learns she is
still alive things take a dramatic turn.
Damien and Jaxon are best friends and have always played the game but now the
stakes are so much higher and one of them will get burned.
This is a must read, now I have to sulk until the next instalment.

How in the world did I never read anything by this author before?! Shame on me!
This book was amazing and intriguing.
I was so torn with this book and all it made me feel. I didn't know which way was right. I need to know more as some things just weren't answered for me and the way this left off I was screaming at my kindle and the author in my head.
To have a writer turn me to being angry at fictional characters and actions, that's a true talent!
When's the next one coming out?! I need it lol
