This whole book feels like sinking into a bubble bath at the end of a long day- soothing, delightful, and immersive.

Wonderful cast of characters. Lovely, heartwarming story. I hear the origins of this novel are problematic, so I will need to do more research.

What a wild and cute ride! I knew nothing about this book when I started it, but it sucked me in within a few pages.

I absolutely adored the characters - and I don't say this often when most of the characters are children! The writing was detailed enough to imagine all the characters and the places vividly, without being over-detailed or dry. The sense of humour was simply delightful! The story itself was so heartwarming and cute!

The only thing I didn't like that much was the ending. Not the way how the story ended, but how they get there and how it was told. It felt a little fanfic-y and a certain character was very OOC at the end. Everything wrapped up a little too well, without any real challenge. The threat that was looming over them the entire time was just... resolved?! Just like that, within two pages and in the most unbelievable way.

This book was so wondetful and the writting was so lyrical. Everything about this book I loved. I lobed the setting, the children and their different personalities, how apprehensive Linus was and the relationship between Arthur and Linus.

The one minor issue that I had was that I felt as if the relationship between Arthur and Linus wasn't really developed that well. We knew that Linus thought Arthur was attractive but that was it, no sort of build up to their relationship. Of course I was happy when they did get together but it sort of came out of no where.

All in all I thoight this book is great and would highly recommend. The way T J Klune wrote these characters, especially the children, was just wonderful. I think we all have felt like Linus at one point in our lives, having to stick to the rules and feeling as if our life has no colour in it but I truly adored the message this book came out with at the end. Definitely would recommend.
