This book felt like it was written for toxic straight men. Even to the point of calling a woman nasty for being “a squirter.” There were definitely good parts, but overall it just didn’t feel empowering, the way a good spicy romance novel should. Also, the MMC was extremely unlikeable and toxic, to the point of being borderline abusive, yet we were supposed to totally love him? Definitely a spicy book and very descriptive, but not in a way that I feel is empowering for women/people with vaginas/vulvas, i.e., the author only used the word “sex” to describe vaginas/vulvas… but used a variety of different language when referring to a penis? Also, there is definitely a scene, where when unable to process his emotions, it is implied that the MMC performs a sex act on the MFC that she is clearly uncomfortable with! However, he “makes it up to her” by having sex with her later…??? I don’t know it just wasn’t for me…

I hesitated with this book and I regret that so much because I love this book. I smashed through it in one day and it has my heart. From every single moment in this book between Henley and Juliet, I was laughing, crying and just overall happy for them. READ IT!

This was a really fun book with an annoying back and forth hot and cold situation between the main characters. I HATE when books bring in some annoying woman with huge boobs who refuses to be a girl's girl and tries to get between the FMC and MMC. It's so derivative and unnecessary.
Loved this story about a second chance meeting and as always laughed, cried and loooved this story about a group of friends who live next to each other. TL Swan manages to talk about a disease that affects many families in a beautiful way. Can’t wait for the next book.
