Okay, for real, though. I'm shocked by how much I enjoyed this😂
Here are some quotes:
📕He could just stand at the end of the bed naked, and I'd orgasm
📕a body fluid business deal
📕you are never seeing me naked, I look like a jellyfish compared to you
📕you better not sleep with him - nobody can make you cum like I can!
^ literally shut up. You are a straight white man with commitment issues, I could list off a bunch of carbon copy versions of you in my sleep 🙃

I could not get behind these characters.
Juliet was obsessive over Henley. Even when she wanted to “move on” from him, she was constantly looking for him or wondering what he was doing. She was jealous and possessive when it came to him, even after he broke her heart by not calling her after their initial date (his reasoning was total bs, btw. she should’ve run away screaming after she heard his excuse.)
Henley was a broody jerk for the majority of the book. The only time he was ever vulnerable was when he saw Juliet was serious about moving on from him. I did not see his appeal. There was even a point, about 70% of the way into the book, where Juliet hints that she would be willing to marry Henley and he responds to her saying “we barely know anything about each other”. 3 months into this relationship and you don’t know anything other than you are great in bed together?!??! 🚩🚩
The communication between these two characters drove me nuts. I understand Henley is dealing with issues but it was so frustrating every time he shut down emotionally and demanded Juliet just stay as his hookup buddy.
The attraction between them was off the charts but there was very little romance. Their whole relationship consisted of them sleeping together or arguing. Even though there was an epilogue, there’s no way I could see them lasting long term.
The pacing seemed off to me. These two took forever to get into a real relationship and then the last 20% of this book felt so rushed.
This book was mostly smut, with little to no plot development. Definitely was not the book for me. I wish I DNF’ed it.

I've enjoyed the previous T.L. Swan books I've previously read, so when I saw this included with KU I decided to pick it up.
Juliet has the most perfect date with Henley James, so when he doesn't call after, she's destroyed. Color her surprised when a few years later she buys a house and moved into his neighborhood full of bachelors. The two can't get along after their misunderstanding but they also can't fight their attraction to one another. But Henley's got deeper demons than Juliet knows. Can she break through to him?
I liked this one a lot, but it felt like it went on a little too long. I enjoyed it very much!
