Haunting, in a certain way, and beautifully read by LeVar Burton.

I love the concept of a restaurant that can make any dish from history. And a handful of meals leaped out of my memory, rather unexpectedly. Most recently, the homemade chicken parmesan my husband made for our second wedding anniversary this past summer. And the two nights of back-to-back deliciousness at my best friend's wedding. The full pan of cottage pie we made a few years ago for our St Patrick's Day party. Our first tiny Thanksgiving in our new house, five years ago. Further back, when I was wee small, the perfect grilled cheese my grandmother made for lunch the day my younger sister was born. And I swear she made a bomb tuna casserole too, somewhere around that time. (She passed a year later.) It's the genius of the story, really - food connects us. Food brings people together, and clearly holds its own in our memories.

I was really afraid this was going to have and sad ending, but the tone was gentle and mysterious.

Beautiful, thought provoking story. Memories are such a part of our identity, and food memories are so evocative. That is integral to the story, but there is so much more.
