This was cute, but it was waaay too long and felt a bit lacking in emotional connection for me. It was hard for me to suspend disbelief that anyone in this book actually thought the lead actress and producer being in the porn business would never get out. It also wasn’t as hot as I expected it to be given the premise. So many references to kinks and toys and lube but barely any of it used on page!

It was quite enjoyable though and I did love the sex (and sex work) positivity, body positivity, and how virtually everyone was queer, including the two leads.

I liked both Nolan and Bee individually, but I never really bought them as a couple. It never felt like their relationship went beyond wish fulfillment for either one of them. Bee was obsessed with Nolan because he was her teen crush and Nolan was obsessed with Bee because she was his favorite porn star. I never felt like they cared about each other outside of that.

This book was cute and I liked it but it felt a little rushed for them to be super in love.
Like sure they were each other's crush from afar for a long time but they didn't actually know each other. Then they had sex a few times over a span of 2 weeks and they were in love?

It was okay - overall pretty cute but despite being a sucker for cheesy hallmarks the setting didn’t really work for me. I think I kept getting hung up on the technicalities. Bee HAS to keep her life as a pornstar secret, which they assume nobody will find out because…Hopeflix people don’t watch porn, ig? The mains are dedicated to this pure image for this movie but then take a selfie with a stripper lol. Nolan has a busy home life and gets calls near 24/7 but doesn’t tell his boss for the thinnest of reasons. To this book’s credit it eventually does address these near the end, but for so long it just…wasn’t, and it bugged me.

It also felt unnecessarily long. There were little subplots throughout the book that I think could have been cut (including a character’s sex tape being leaked and everyone seems…okay with it, more or less? One character says they watched it, one of our mains says “I hadn’t watched it yet” - yet?? There’s sex positive and then there’s watching someone’s private tape, it was really weird reading those lines). And this won’t be a knock for other people but man, there’s so much sex - which is fine, just isn’t for me. I don’t really think these characters are in love with each other, they just seem to have a mutually parasocial relationship lmao.

What I loved about this book was that it was both sex-positive and plus-sized body positive. The main character is a plus-sized online sex worker and the book is very positive about this. There are plenty of people in this world who need to read more books like this.

What I didn't love was the sheer AMOUNT of sex scenes in this book and what they took away from the story. I don't mind the details but the book itself would have been a stronger read had the plot been more developed and less predictable. I expected a cheesy romance but I barely even got that.

This was a really cute read that made me laugh out loud so many times! The writing was well-done, the characters are deeply likeable and the premise is just outlandish enough to make for a perfect holiday romance novel.
