Wow. What a unique book from the great Ian McEwan. Just go ahead and read the synopsis. Yes, it is as intriguing as it sounds. A lesser writer could never pull this off. Rather brilliant. Recommend.

What connection could there be between Ian McEwan's exquisitely written prose narrated by a 9 month old foetus and Shakespeare?
A lot going by how McEwan has enthralled his readers taking on one of Shakespeare's greatest plays in his very special way of paying homage to the great play writer.
To be or not to be, that is the question, dear reader thou shalt read this book to find out.

It broke muy heart. I wish I knew what happened to the baby.

I found the perspective from the baby in the womb quite interesting for this story. I thought the ending was great, where
the baby decides to come out to give birth as Trudy and Claude attempt to escape from murdering John, and they end up getting caught.
I found some parts too rambly and a bit unnecessary. There were some parts that was entertaining to listen to where the character goes on about the world events and history.

Disappointing. A story told from the viewpoint of a fetus. An incredibly well-versed, knowledge in history and current affairs, dripping in acerbic platitudes, pre-birth baby. While I admire McEwan as a writer, this yarn was too much of a stretch, even in third person
