Such a fun, angsty enemies-to-lovers story with great tension and character growth. Penelope Douglas never disappoints!

HOLY SH*T. I wasn’t sure about P.Douglas before but she redeemed herself with this one! I fell in love with the main character Tate. Her demeanor and quick wit and fierce attitude made it easy to root for her every step of the way.
The explosive sexual hostility between her & Jared will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time.
It’s not overly Smutty, but the storyline, tension and details will keep you hooked. 5/5 flames

I almost thinks it’s unfair to rate this book in 2020, but imma do it anyways. It was LADEN with tropes that felt outdated, especially the girl-hate and slut shaming. It made me hate the MC, a classic “I’m not that kind of girl” girl.

I know this was Penelope Douglas’s first book, and it shows. She’s grown from here. I’d say read Punk 57 instead.

Read this in one sitting on the plane. It was a fun little enemies to lovers, high school bully. Few spicy scenes

Bello, bello, bello!

Tate and Jared

This book gave me major whip lash but in a good way LOOOL. Jared and Tatum were childhood friends and you can tell that they cared for each other a lot, even though Jared pushed her away for a bad reason. It was a stupid reason and I'm glad that Jared FINALLY PULLED HIS HEAD OUT OF HIS ASS. He did all those things to her because he was jealous (I get it, totally understandable, it's a dark romance after all). They were definitely hating each other hard and the monologue Tate did is the major point (that monologue was beautiful BTW). Also, all the races, HOTTTTTTT, LOVED IT. The ending/twist tho, saw it coming but I thought I was betrayed for a second lol. I need Jared to spoil her more to apologize for all the years of bullying tho.
