“While I liked this book for the most and was captivated by the author's realistic portrayal of bullying, I must admit, this book left me with mixed feeling. “- goodreads person
childhood best friends to enemies to lovers
typical bad boy with a troubled past

“Sauntering over to me, Jared grabbed the hem of my hoodie and said, “Take this off and give me a lap dance.”
“Jared moved his head from side to side trying to catch my eyes, his lips inches from my face. “If I ever lay my hands on you,” he said low and husky, “you’ll want it.” He brought his lips in even closer. The heat of his breath covered my face. “Do you? Want it, I mean?”
“Tatum?” His voice sounded soft and gentle, and I instantly felt warm all over. But then he spoke again “I wouldn’t care if you were alive or dead.”
“Did he hurt you?” Jared asked evenly, but his lips were tight, and his eyes were murderous.”
“Jared moved in front of me and stared down at the broken glass. “I make you nervous,” he said without looking up at me. His assessment was dead-on. I knew it, and so did he.”

I hated him like half of the time and wanted to fuck him the rest so…the basic. Yeah that’s it.

Tate and Jared used to be friends, until the summer before high school where Jared came back and began to bully Tate. In their senior year, the bullying comes to a head and Tate decides it's time to fight back.

Great bully romance! I enjoyed Tate's character growth as well as how that pushes Jared.

Writing was a bit juvenile and the plot was a little flimsy. Cute read, though predictable. I found the characters hard to believe at the beginning and I didn't care about them much, but that got better as I kept reading.
