This was a good read, most of the plot seemed realistic and the characters were somewhat relatable but not fully developed enough for me. I enjoyed the read and became envious of bond the siblings have in the book.

This book is about an Irish Catholic family torn apart by secrets and trying to mend their broken family. I absolutely adored this book! I loved the Brennans and they, in a way, reminded me of my own family, a little dysfunctional but loving and caring. I found myself filled with different emotions while reading this and was left satisfied at the conclusion of the book. If you enjoy the show Shameless, you might enjoy this. They aren't exactly the same, but I feel We Are the Brennans has the same vibes as Shameless.

Irish family good at keeping secrets  The focus was on a family who appeared charmed but they were oblivious to how that affected others. The sister leaves town to hide from her secret and we she returns the ex boyfriend throws away his marriage because his wife is not her. Not a very likeable group
