A stand out read of 2025! What an epic conclusion to a thrilling duology, full of angst, pining, action and a perfect touch of romance that had my heart racing.

I enjoyed this, and appreciated this was the last of a defined 2-book story. The ending felt a little flat. But I still enjoyed my time in this universe.

By silver, by blood, and by bone
In this duology we follow the failed "chosen one" dragon, the snarky gender fluid human who lost everything, and how their bond might destroy or safe both their worlds. Alongside them, we also see the story of a badass priest assassin and the heir to the dragon throne.
Set in the queer-normative city of Loc, we first meet Arcady and Everen as they trust and betray, while trying to perform a massive heist and take control of their individual futures. But fate has other plans for them, and they become the central piece to solve a wrong made centuries ago.
Some might consider this duology slow placed, specially compared to other fantasy books, but in my opinion it's exactly as it should be - both Dragonfall and Emberclaw stand out as very unique reads. We have adventure, romance, politics, plot twists, the power and the prison of fate, and some really cool (and hot) characters! The world building is phenomenal, the character arcs were so well done and the overall conclusion was amazing- it gave us the why's and how's of a lot of the events that happened in this world, as well as preview of what fate had in store for our characters. While it had a finality to it, the end of Emberclaw leaves the door open to a possible return - and I would barge right in!
