4.5 - I absolutely LOVED this friends to lovers, forbidden romance between Andie and her brother's best friend Wyatt. I am slow to the Susannah Nix party but I couldn't resist her new series about a family of ice cream makers. Wyatt is the family screw-up, scared to take a chance on love and his musical ambitions. When he finally takes the plunge and admits his feelings to his best friend's sister the sparks fly. This one has some steamy open door scenes so be warned if that's not your thing (I was 100% there for them). I can't wait for the next installment of this new series coming early 2022. Highly recommended for fans of Penny Reid and Abby Jimenez. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my advanced review copy!

4.5 Stars!!

What I loved most about this new series was the dual POV that allowed us to believe and understand both Wyatt and Andie. They had the chemistry and banter that I love reading in friends to lovers books. They also had trust that resulted in some very steamy and intimate moments that helped tie them together. OMG Those dance scenes were phinominal! Wyatt and Andie made me happy and I hope we get to see more of them in the rest of the series.
I also loved all the friends and family that were included. You really got to know them and it made you feel like part of the community. It also lets you know that more books will be coming. I can't wait for Tanner and Lucy after the tension that was displayed at the end of Wyatt and Andie's story.

Thank you to Susannah Nix and Haver Street Press for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

After being introduced to Wyatt and Andie in Elementary Romantic Calculus I was super excited to read their story. I knew it would be amazing and it was!

Wyatt is part of the King family who has an ice cream empire! That would have been a dream come true for younger Jen. I mean all the ice cream you can eat?? Sign me up! Only he doesn't like ice cream. And he has some issues with his family and things that have happened. So he pretends like nothing affects him and he is a huge ladies man. Flirts with everyone except his good friend Andie. Even though he has been secretly in love with her for a long time he knows nothing can ever come of it. So he tries to pretend like everything is fine and he cares about nothing.

Andie has loved Wyatt for as long as she can remember. Only she knows he doesn't feel the same way about her. He has never once flirted with her and well...she collects those little moments when they are together (like when they are dancing! Phew!!) as just friends. These two were so cute together! I loved them so much! Yes, Wyatt has issues and that causes issues at times, but oh it was fun. I really loved watching these two figure everything out. They were super hot together, but also had so much fun! And fun to read! Oh, and if you have read Elementary Romantic Calculus you get a bit more of Josh and Mia! Win win win!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this book. I loved this story!

My Cone and Only was a sweet brothers best friend, small town romance. Wyatt and Andie have been secretly pining for each other for so long and when they have to work together to save her from losing her house they are unable to keep those feelings from each other anymore and begin to fake date. There were so many sweet moments between these two. The story was low on angst and I loved watching these two fall in love. Amanda Stribling and Chris Brinkley did an amazing job with narrating Andie and Wyatt.

This was a freebie in an email of another author’s subscription. Read 56 pages but couldn’t take Wyatt’s absolutely disgusting lifestyle from drinking so much he pukes, to smoking weed, to having a disgusting pig sty of a dump, to having no career, and sleeping with every girl that’s he’s probably a walking STD. I can’t see him as a romantic love interest after all that. I skipped towards the end to see if it was better but then I see a convo talking about a sister-in-law’s nipples and whether or not they were attractive because she was breastfeeding.

I loved the cover and description of the book, it looked so fun. I am happy to report it lived up to the expectations!

Andie has always had feelings for Wyatt, and Wyatt for her, but neither know it. To Andie, Wyatt has always seemed uninterested in her, probably because Wyatt is her older brothers best friend and she feels he sees her as a little sister. For Wyatt, Andie has been off limits because her brother told him he couldn't date her… ever. When Andie needs help getting her house up to snuff to meet the HOA guidelines, she turns to Wyatt for help.

The brother's best friend trope can be hit or miss for me, but this one was a hit for me. I adored both Wyatt and Andie though. Andie seemed quirky and she seemed to bring out this soft side of Wyatt. The build up to their relationship felt natural and I could totally feel the chemistry. Their physical chemistry was amazing too, with lots of steam.

I also really liked the family dynamics and the cast of characters we got to meet. I can't wait to read more about the King family!

The only thing I didn't really enjoy was the conflict near the end of the book, it just didn't feel as natural as it could be.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley and the publisher for an open and honest review. All opinions are 100% mine.
