Aaron and Betsy

I really enjoyed this book. It was great to be back with Noah and Keri, Aaron and Sophie Ann and little Nate. Getting to spend time with Betsy and Ben was great as well. This book was definitely more of a second chance romance book and I have to say it was really done well.

Honestly I could have spent the entire time with Aaron reuniting with his family, making up for past mistakes with Betsy and getting to know the son he never knew about and would have been content. There was enough story there to make the book satisfactory. Simple is sometimes the best.

The side story/villain was alright, but I almost felt like took away from the second chance plot. I wasn’t disappointed or anything, just felt unneeded. I’m looking forward to reading Sophie Ann’s story as well as Ben’s

It almost pains me to say this, but Aaron may be my favorite in Willow Creek! I have been wanting a story like this and Lily delivered it. I couldn't put it down from page one with her brother doing what any brother would do. There is so much to their story that it pulls at your heart and waiting for something to keep them apart. I loved seeing their relationship build again and so many scenes were heart touching. I knew there was going to be trouble with the guy offering what she wanted but never saw that kind of trouble coming. I was holding my breath after that afraid that something else would happen. There is so much in the book that is amazing and I don't want to giveaway. I loved the hint for the next book and can't wait for it. This is one written so well that you can picture everything like a movie.

Betsey is a strong woman to do things on her own and work where she works. She wasn't so stubborn that she wouldn't listen even if it took a bit to get her to listen. I loved that she didn't hide from the town and felt for her with what she had to agree to when protecting those she loved.

Aaron knew he made mistakes and wanted to make things right, but didn't know everything. He had my heart from the start because he owned up to things and clearly loved her. I felt for him everytime something happened and he made my heart ache in many scenes.

A wonderful addition to the Willow Creek series! Although I was frustrated at the main characters some times during this book, it was well worth the journey! Lily Graison does not disappoint and I love reading about characters that tie in to previous stories.
