Not as gripping as some of McFadden's other novels, and not as big of a jaw-dropping twist (and some were a little predictable), but still had me curious as to where it was going that I had to finish it in a couple of days (the standard time frame for any of her books!). One of the twists still threw me enough that I'll have to go back and read it with that in mind. Brilliant writing as always. More of a suspense/mystery & romance than your usual McFadden thriller.

the timeline did not make sense to me i know it was supposed to add to the mysterious ness but it made it more confusing once we figure out who the actual ex is and the name change of her husband threw me off a lot too and who tf is gonna be friends with their ex stalker girlfriend really; i liked the fast pace ness of the story but all the characters were unloveable and cassie was a dumbass
