Very repetitive! Overall I enjoyed the read, it was interesting. My biggest gripe came from the constant repeat of the same conversations. Yes the points being argued are important and I am FULLY on TJ’s side! However, once he realized that A. His brother didn’t understand why it was such a big deal and B. When he realized his family just wouldn’t believe him- he should have stopped arguing the same point!
I did love the realism that comes from TJ not just getting what he wanted at all times. The author gave him hardships that he didn’t over come and life lessons. He is deeply flawed, but in a human way. I was rooting for him truly.
I would recommend this book, just be warned it is a little slow.

I liked listening to this story. T.J. is a good character, and I was rooting for him. His alcoholism recovery, relapse, and recovery was an interesting part of the story to me. I spent quite a lot of time disliking his father and brother, even though I grudgingly started liking the dad at the end. This was a good twisty, turny thriller, and well-written (as always).

A very quick read, I love a good domestic thriller and this delivers. It’s fast paced for the most part, and keeps you reading. I’m not a huge fan of court/investigation focused thrillers so it did get a little boring at times for me because of that. Overall a good read, I liked TJ and liked that it was all told from his POV and it wasn’t a split timeline.
