Disclosure: I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley, however all opinions are my own.
This is the type of book I've got to expect from K.L. Slater - something a little crazy, twisty and turny, and you just never know what you're going to get.
Saffy is trying to rebuild her life, and she's on the brink of getting everything back together. But when she receives a text from her best friend, she drops everything to help her. Only, when she arrives, her friend is confused, explaining she never sent a text and that she has no idea what Saffy is talking about.
So when her best friend and her family disappear, Saffy knows something terrible happened. And the police decide that she must be involved.
Saffy did some really stupid things in this book, which I found frustrating. There were multiple times when she did things that I just found impossible and I wanted to reach through the book and shake her.
Regardless, I did love the rollercoaster ride this story took me on, and I really didn't totally understand what was happening until the very end. I solid average book that would be great to read on an airplane.

Quite slow at the beginning….picks up some steam about half way though and then just loses momentum.

It was alright, nothing groundbreaking. Repetitive at times. Finished it but it doesn’t prompt me to read more by this author.
