I definitely had some issues with this book, but I just couldn't justify giving it less than five stars because it was so amazing and I just love it so much!

Damm if I though the last book was good this one is even better! Juliette really comes into her own in this one. She is more confident and creates boundaries while maintaining her character. Still love Warner and Kenji. I am super excited about these next few books!!

My favourite book of the series so far. Warner in this book had me screaming, giggling and kicking my feet. With Adam, I wanted to push him off of a cliff. I loved Juliette's character development in this one, she's grown to be so much stronger compared to the other books in the series. I also love her friendship with Kenji <3 The only reason this book wasn't 5 stars is because I felt that the 'climax' of the book was underwhelming and was over way too quickly. I feel like Juliette's plan was kind of mediocre and should not have worked out as well as it did. Other than that, I had a really good time and finished 90% of the book in one sitting. Can't wait to see what happens in the rest of the series. LYHFML

I went into this book with super high expectations. I feel like that's always the start to a review of a book I didn't really love. Don't get me wrong I liked this book. I just didn't love it.

I enjoyed the romance. It was definitely a slow burn. I really like Warner; he has got to be one of my favorite book boyfriends by far.

Juliette has always pissed me off. Every time she does something stupid, I just want to throw the book across the room. I feel like she never knows what she wants, and when she does know what she wants it's always the worst possible choice she could pick. I don't like the books being in her POV because I feel like she makes Adam look way better than he is because she "loves him". There is a lot about her I personally would change if I had the chance. I think in this book she got A LOT better.

OH. GOD. So... the powers... I don't really care about this kinda thing, but Juliette is WAY too overpowered. I mean if she wanted to, she could destroy the whole earth. I just feel like she is unmatched (conveniently) except for Adam and Warner. I don't know it really bothered me that she literally is the strongest one. I feel like a power system should have some balance.

Personally, I think this author would write really amazing romances. I just feel maybe dystopia and fantasy aren't really her thing. She isn't really good at going into detail about fights. By no means am I saying that she is a bad author, because she isn't I really like her books. All I am saying is that maybe just romance would work better for her.

Maybe this is just me being really picky, but this book really wasn't it for me. It took me like 2 weeks to read it, and that's long for me.

THERE’S A LOT I CAN SAY I LOVE ABOUT THIS BOOK.
I loved Juliette’s character development with how she learns to be more true to herself by the end of the book. I love Warner and how he wants her to be true. I love Kenji in this book as usual he’s great in almost any book he’s in.
Admittedly I didn’t like how he did lied to Adam about Juliette’s feelings but he ultimately tells the truth.
Also I thought Juliette was pretty badass at the end of the book!!
Mainly what I didn’t like was Warner’s farther as a character that much. To me he was not really interesting as a villain. I did find his relationship to Warner to be interesting. Besides that when he shows up he is very uninteresting as villain and kinda predictable imo.
My conclusion is this is a better romance book than a dystopian book. And that’s what I like about it.
