This was a 3 star.
I kept seeing this book hyped up and when I saw “Yellowstone meets 50 Shades” I was definitely intrigued.
For me, unfortunately, it was more 50 Shades with very little Yellowstone.
The plot that was there was really interesting and had SUCH potential. Sadly though this book is not plot or character driven. It was “spice” driven. I was left disappointed
because if it had focused a bit more on the story/relationships and less on the bedroom time I would have rated higher. The spice is very enjoyable - double check your TWs though. (And honestly that TW page is misleading, while we get little glimpses of some of the things mentioned most are not well developed or shown.)
I wasn’t invested in any of the characters because we didn’t get a chance to really learn about them.
Troupes: enemies (kinda) to lovers, cowboy, morally dark grey MMC, bdsm
Spice: 4/5
Plot 4/5
Pace 3/5
Character Personality 3/5
Character Growth 3/5
Writing Style 3/5
World Building 4/5

No one in their right mind would enter into a 24/7 Dom/sub relationship with someone they talked to for less than an hour. While I think this book did a better job than most at showing kink in relationships, this one fell flat in emphasizing clear communication both ways. FMC was too ignorant to know what she was signing up for and there should be informed consent in all relationships, but especially D/s ones.
I forced myself to read it. Just so I could say I did. However, I wish I hadn’t read it. Was a waste of time. Couldn’t connect to the characters, the age gap, the forced contract.

I’m going to be honest, I wasn’t sure about this book for like the first 30% and then by the end I loved it!
I’m not a huge bdsm girlie, so that might be why I was meh at first. And I felt like the beginning was a little rushed but in the end I feel like the plot evened out and I thoroughly enjoyed.
So. Much. Spice.
Heavy on the dom/sub.
Loved the Yellowstone vibes, and very intrigued for Westins book now.
