Let’s be clear—I’m here to talk about the writing and the plot of Sovereign, not because I’ve suddenly developed a taste for Gerard and Keira’s... let’s call it very specific brand of intimacy. Edwards proves she’s an excellent storyteller who knows how to keep you hooked with more than just drama — there’s a solid plot sprinkled beneath all that spicy chaos. Bonus points right out of the gate for the age gap trope, which happens to be one of my personal favorites. So naturally, I was already intrigued before the first “yes, Sir.”

Keira was a total badass, even after everything that had chipped away at her confidence before she ever set foot on Sovereign Mountain. Gerard mastered morally grey with a side of “dangerous but somehow still sexy AF.” Honestly, I don’t get the whole submissive thing between them — probably because I’m about as far from that vibe as you can get. But hey, if that’s your jam, who am I to yuck someone else’s yum?

If you like your romance with a little extra heat and a lot of “what the heck is going on?”, this book will probably speak your language. Me? if i had a dollar for every time the words “c*m, p*ssy or c*ck” was said i would be as rich as gerard
i’m not too sure what i just read. like im sorry how do you smell someone ovulating? there seemed to be no plot what so ever and i’m impressed i stuck out with the whole book.
