While I saw some value in this book, I had a little bit of a hard time getting through with the vocabulary. It also was a more he should do this, she should do this type of direction that I did not really want. The writing style is more abrasive than I would have appreciated.

I’ll save you the read: the premise is this: men are avoidant, women are anxious. This book is basically one big ugly metaphor for a generalization about male and female attachment styles. It’s a imprecise hammer that is totally devoid of poetry and repeats the same ideas ad nausea. There are better books out there on the topic, but if you feel very fuzzy about relationship issues and know that you learn slow as a snail, check it out.

I think that Dr.Gray is an amazing author however, being that it was written when women were not getting much voice and acknowledgment it makes it a spectacle read. Does do a great job at dispelling some common misconceptions about relationships and the sexes. I did not enjoy how Men and Women are placed into distinct categories. I feel that we are all intermixed with character traits and it is an injustice to take that into consideration. A good topic for research would be patterns in Homosexual couples, are the patters similar? Lets find out Dr.Gray

Very interesting. Helpful to all aspects of life. Should be a required read!
The second part of the book felt like it was all about what women should do to accommodate men. The first part gave me insight to our different needs but the second part I couldn't go through it without feeling like something was off.
