There is too much hype surrounding this book. It is shockingly shite and massively overrated. It was full to the brim with inane, pseudoscientific, misogynistic drivel, rehashing tired and outdated sexist gender stereotypes. It is more useful as toilet paper. Don't waste your money. Unfortunately, the option to rate it zero stars isn't available but it would certainly be more deserving of a zero star rating.

sexist horrible horrible horrible piece of literature. dnfed at page 58 because i was simply just arguing with him in the margins.

It is a book written by a man, enough said.

Has some useful information, but the Martian-Venusian schtick is a bit schmaltzy and wears thin after a while.

Horribly outdated gender-specific advice. It could possibly be helpful if you can ignore the dumb Mars/Venus metaphors and just think about it as communication tips for humans. I did find the "love letter" technique useful, so there's something? It ranked 1 star.

Third time reading this in the past 20 years. It's starting to feel a bit dated but some fundamentals are still there.

There are parts where the analogy gets in the way of the message.

There are two pages I've folded down where he hits on an insight that deeply explains part of my relationship with my wife. Those two pages alone make the book worth reading, to me.

I mean this was published before I was born. A very dated and binary view on relationships.

Definitely an interesting read.
