captivating read, read it in one sitting, felt impossible not to. the selfishness of the husband felt very difficult to read, your rage coarses through the writing of all the perspectives, and you hope at the end that you will understand what happened to this family. you dont because they dont seem to understand either, and the kids perspectives are perhaps the most heartbreaking.
