Like most anthologies Your Body is Not Your Body had stories I loved, stories that I didn't understand the picture the writer was trying to create, and stories that were somewhat forgettable. I wouldn't say any of them are bad, but you'll definitely enjoy some more than others. I enjoyed "We've Been Trying to Reach You" (that may not be the exact title, but it was along those lines.) I was reading it at such a frantic pace that the story lends itself to. There's also some impressive and horrifying body horror art inside. If body horror stories by trans/non-binary/neurodivergent people sounds interesting you'll probably enjoy the majority of these stories.

I love body horror so this was obviously up my alley, and this anthology was created for a great cause. The quality here does run the gamut for me, but I think that's typical of short fiction anthologies.

I read 'Tiny Magic' by G. E. Woods. Full content warnings are kindly provided at the back of the book. The short story I read was evocative and harrowing. Books like this are important for readers who have felt alone.

was deeply infatuated with this collection of stories!! i love horror books, especially queer horror and i found myself utterly horrified and at the same time comforted by most of these stories. such a great selection of different worlds and queer perspectives! my fav stories were (in no particular order): the infinite being, the same thing that happened to sam, chironoplasty and the roots they pull. the roots they pull had such a perfect depiction of sexual assault/molestation and how this effects not just anyone but queer afab people especially. it also expands on how you can find safe spaces to express your love/sexuality with the right person and how you can grow and blossom and find peace in that growth and acceptance in such a beautiful way. big thank you to all of these writers, this collection was an amazing read :)
