WHAT WAS THAT ENDING?!
Loved the twist with Tyler and can't wait to hear how tf he ended up where he did by the end of the book...interested to see where things go in the third and last book of the trilogy.

I need the last book right now, Navessa!

This was my first mafia romance, fitting since the first book was my first dark romance.

Exploring much darker themes than its predecessor, I loved the rich character development we saw with Junior and the second chance romance he had with Lauren. Also loved that he called her Lo.

Teddy Hamilton is a fucking GOD tier narrator and was perfect for Junior. I am slightly bummed we didn’t get Jacob Morgan and Elena Wolf to reprise Josh and Aly since they were so prevalent in the book,  but I imagine scheduling and costs would have been a factor.

I devoured this in one day, which should be an indication of how good the story is. The characters are well developed, Taylor is my favorite side character for sure!

There’s an entire page of trigger warnings (selling point for me lol), so take care to review before diving in!

I didn't like this as much as Lights about, partly because of how funny Josh and Aly are, partly because I adore Jacob Morgan/Zachary Webber's narration and the characterization he adds to text.

That said, I did jump up and down at work when the library hold hit at work as I was trying to figure out how I would get through only having six hours left of audiobook time on Spotify (I listen to audiobooks all day work). I will probably give it a second (and maybe third) listen before I return it as I did like Lauren as a character and I do appreciate Teddy Hamilton's narration, as well as the narration provided by Jason June and the Josh/Aly appearances that did feel forced.
