I loved this book. Loved the story and the narrators! This is spicy with a good sense of humour. He is a son of a guy in the mob and she is a love of his past who is on for you page. They connect in this book. Light stalking, motorcycles, tattooed and issue filled mmc. Loved her taser and her willingness to use it!

“Learn from my mistakes. Be a slut while you still can.”

Going through this book thinking it would be like Lights Out was a mistake but I still did enjoy this - enough to have finished it within the day! Ironically, it was my Audible email that reminded me that this book is finally out so yes, I did it read it as soon as I saw that email. It just shows how excited I was to read this knowing that I pre-ordered this one back in December (half a year before the book came out).

I enjoyed it enough that there would be bits and pieces of the books that I would remember in the long run - exhibitionist, for example, since I've learned so much about this through this book. The mafia part of this book for me was a meh. Overall, it's a good book to remind me why I loved Lights Out (lol)

I didn't like this as much as Lights about, partly because of how funny Josh and Aly are, partly because I adore Jacob Morgan/Zachary Webber's narration and the characterization he adds to text.

That said, I did jump up and down at work when the library hold hit at work as I was trying to figure out how I would get through only having six hours left of audiobook time on Spotify (I listen to audiobooks all day work). I will probably give it a second (and maybe third) listen before I return it as I did like Lauren as a character and I do appreciate Teddy Hamilton's narration, as well as the narration provided by Jason June and the Josh/Aly appearances that did feel forced.

I love the balance of darkness, spice and humor in this series. The plot is a perfect mix of smart and completely bonkers/far-fetched, making this the perfect escapism read. I had fun and will definitely follow the rest of the series - fingers crossed Stefan’s story is in the future!

Thanks to Zando/IPS and Edelweiss for the ARC!
