I didn't like this as much as Lights about, partly because of how funny Josh and Aly are, partly because I adore Jacob Morgan/Zachary Webber's narration and the characterization he adds to text.
That said, I did jump up and down at work when the library hold hit at work as I was trying to figure out how I would get through only having six hours left of audiobook time on Spotify (I listen to audiobooks all day work). I will probably give it a second (and maybe third) listen before I return it as I did like Lauren as a character and I do appreciate Teddy Hamilton's narration, as well as the narration provided by Jason June and the Josh/Aly appearances that did feel forced.

I love Nonna so much! If you loved Lights Out you will love Caught Up. Navessa makes you love the characters and writes banter so well. The spicy scenes are just a bonus really.

This book focuses on Nico "Junior" Trocci, Aly from Lights Out's cousin, and his obsession with his high school girlfriend, Lauren Marchetti. Junior is (begrudgingly) a part of his dad's criminal empire, and Lauren is now a cam girl (think Only Fans). They had a falling out in high school and they haven't had contact since. (Except, unbeknownst to Lauren, Junior is secretly her #1 subscriber, and they've been talking for years!) Yes, he may have been moderately stalking her all these years, but now he's looking to reconnect IRL! Let's just say that Lauren is not receptive to this and needs some convincing...
This book is dark and steamy and morally grey. It's not laugh-out-loud funny like Lights Out, as Junior's personality could not be more different than Josh's, but they are similar in their intensity and obsession over their women! I'm excited for the final book in the trilogy to come!

I read an advanced copy of this book, and these are my honest thoughts. Thank you to Navessa Allen and Zando Slowburn for the early review copy via NetGalley!
