I’ve seen the conservative asshats complaining about how ‘woke’ this book is Sex work is real work. Non-binary people exist (and I promise, using they/them pronouns really isn’t that hard to understand 🙄)

I don’t feel like Nico and Lauren have the chemistry that Josh and Ali do, so their relationship fell just a bit flat for me, but I love a good second chance, friends-enemies-lovers story.

Lauren is a really strong FMC and I loved her.

I had a fun time reading this one overall. Teddy was amazing, as usual. His voice really fits the character

I can’t wait to hear all about Tyler and Stella!

Perfection. No notes. The positivity and inclusivity contrasted with the dark and morally gray setting is gripping and keeps you fully immersed the entire time.

Off the charts. Six Peppers. Between sex workers, kink clubs, and high school fantasies played out years later, there is no shortage of high spice and intense scenes.

This was my first mafia romance, fitting since the first book was my first dark romance.

Exploring much darker themes than its predecessor, I loved the rich character development we saw with Junior and the second chance romance he had with Lauren. Also loved that he called her Lo.

Teddy Hamilton is a fucking GOD tier narrator and was perfect for Junior. I am slightly bummed we didn’t get Jacob Morgan and Elena Wolf to reprise Josh and Aly since they were so prevalent in the book,  but I imagine scheduling and costs would have been a factor.

I devoured this in one day, which should be an indication of how good the story is. The characters are well developed, Taylor is my favorite side character for sure!

There’s an entire page of trigger warnings (selling point for me lol), so take care to review before diving in!
