Compared to the first book, this one had a more consistent storytelling method and didn’t fall off. I liked the dynamic between the two main characters, and the smut in this was HOT. I mean come on…. A confessional? DAMN!! It was entertaining and even though I knew how it would end, it was a nice read.

What made this book great for me is that Navessa Allen didn't just copy & paste the characters from [b:Lights Out|211200239|Lights Out (Into Darkness, #1)|Navessa Allen|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1718943822l/211200239._SY75_.jpg|205895867] into a new setting. Junior and Lauren are not Josh and Aly, and they bring a new perspective to the series. I cannot wait to see what Tyler's story has to offer.
Pros: Lauren introduces Junior to a whole new world, he's utterly obsessed with her, Junior grows a pair, safe explorations of sexuality
Cons: Constant feeling that something was missing, doesn't have the same rereadability that LO had

Definitely a different vibe then Lights Out, but was to be expected with Junior (ya know the guy who helps his dad run the mob) as the main character. It's still written in the same beautiful writing still as Lights Out. If you like mafia type romances you'll love it. Spicy as all hell and hot as all hell.
