★★★☆☆

Are we getting another book about Tyler???

Alright, it wasn’t perfect. Or really good. I honestly don’t feel like it was even good. But it was better than Lights Out, since I liked Junior much more than Josh. But I also liked Josh a lot more in this one than in Lights Out.

Lauren was unbearable tho, like, u n b e a r a b l e.

But it’s also because of my, maybe to some, controversial opinions on sex work and prostitution. And let’s just say they didn’t align.

Overall Nic carried the book, Lauren’s friends were even worse than Lauren and I’m not impressed.

Was for sure not the same as Lights Out. However! Knowing we were going into a story about Junior, who has ties to the mob, I already knew it wasn’t going to be as humor filled as Lights out was. And the brief run in with Junior in Lights Out had already shown that he had a more rough exterior than Josh did. So with that all
known ahead of time I figured the relationship between Junior and Lauren was going to be a whole lot different than Josh and Aly.

With that being said, I still loved the story and loved reading about Josh and Aly too when they made their appearance. Writing another book that competes with their love is hard to do. I knew Caught Up was still going to be great - just different - because the characters personalities and upbringing were too!

Josh from Lights Out was a one in a million for a book boyfriend, so this didn’t stand a chance of beating him out, but it certainly tried.

You still get the goofiness in some of the side characters, but our main characters are much more serious.

Read this book for the vibes, but read the triggers! There are some serious spice scenes in here including lots of voyeurism/exhibitionism.  Our FMC is a cam girl and our MMC is Junior from the first book, who is in the Italian mob.

Chapter 22 is going to live rent free in my head for the rest of my life. 5 stars for that particular one.

This book could be treated as a stand alone and definitely sets us up for the third book in the series when we once again switch POVs.  It was a fun and fast read.

I listened to the audiobook of the first one and had to carry on with this on on audiobook too and I’m sooo glad i did.
This had the perfect mix of a good plot and also a lot of spice. I loved where the story was going and the relationships between the characters.
This book had me chuckling, tense and also blushing in places.
Definitely not one to listen to without headphones
