Full of awesome. If the high fantasy books I read as a kid were more like Princeless, I might have appreciated the genre more. Very much looking forward to introducing Mini-Me to this when she's a bit older.

This was great, I can’t wait to read the next one and see who else we’re introduced too!
Moderate: Death, Sexism
Princess Adrienne isn't about to wait around for a prince to rescue her, and the dragon's not so keen on their end of the deal either... A quick read while I had lunch today. I loved it! A great story told with a good sense of humour.
What a great little story. It contradicts the traditional fairy tales where the prince saves the day. In this story, it's up to to the princess to save herself. And being a "prince" isn't all it's chalked up to be.
This review will be for the whole series; read at your own risk.

This is a super fun subversion of the princess in a tower trope. Adrienne saves herself and takes her dragon guardian with her to save her 6 other sisters. Her dad is a scared mofo and I look forward to her standing up to him in the end. I liked what happened with her sister Angelica; how she stayed in her own little town to do good now that she’s technically free. I look forward to seeing what happens to the other freed princesses.
Edit 7/31/21: volume 3 and 4 were disappointing. They seem to go back on the character development; the way Adrienne and Raven fought, then had a somewhat romantic subtext, then no they’re friends. It was weird. Also the jumping between all the plots so abruptly was not my favorite.

The art was okay but I really enjoyed this story of a princess who saves herself and starts a quest to save others.
Lots of fun! I adore the dragon, especially, and the armour bit is excellent--definitely skimpy armour is a no-no for the female knight!
