Cute series that upends the usual sexism of fairy-tale princesses, this is the story of a princess who sets out to save herself and her sib. The writing and art could be a bit tighter, but in general it's a great story and fun.

Comical, but full of feminist garbage.

See spoilers below.

Spoiler
All the men in the story are either:
a) macho, muscular, and domineering
b) weak, wimpy, and pitiful
c) stupid and ugly

Also alludes to LGBT stuff, which in my opinion, is unnecessary. They make up a very small fraction in society, not the way the media shows them to be.

If you want girls to be strong girls, there is no reason for them not have a relationship with a man they want. Companionship and/or romance shouldn't be reserved for just other girls (and not all men are the three points mentioned above).

A real strong girl story would show that she's capable of doing things on her own, but is also willing to accept help from other, regardless of who they may be (man or woman). There's nothing wrong with a story have a strong girl and guy leads, because they might complement each other in whatever situation/adventure they come across. But totally blowing off all men as the three points above is entirely unrealistic, just the way Disney has all the girls in dire need of saving by some handsome prince.

This was one of the best comics ever. It is a comic for children and it just blew my mind.

Yay for feminist lessons. Yay for being informative and not preachy. Yay for daring to say that women shouldn't have to behave a certain way just because they are women (and the same goes for men).

Please everyone read this!

Wow! This was such a great book, perfect for all ages. It was in my library's kid's section, but honestly everyone should read this. The princess doesn't want to be rescued from her dragon; she doesn't want to go on to be someone's wife. She wants to save herself. And so, with her dragon in tow, and with her parents believing her to be dead, she sets off to rescue her sisters from the same fate.
Great representation, great introduction and understanding of "big topics" like sexism and racism, I really enjoyed this book.

I am always a fan of strong female characters especially those who do not wait for people to do their bidding. Well, they could, of course delegate but it's so much fun seeing them in the throes of action. And sass, yes, so much sass.

Too on the nose for an adult audience but would be good for younger readers.

I like dis.
I like dis a lot.

This is not one of my more eloquent reviews, and I don't care.

This was an incredibly fun, fast and feminist read.

This needs to be a movie. It reminded me some of Zita the Spacegirl with characters that managed to be even more loveable. I've got the second one on request and am ordering these for my library's collection straight away.

Fun, fun, fun!
