I wanted a "road-trip" story but this wasn't it! The book begin with a road-trip, yes but it lasted like one or two chapters. Very disappointing.
But because the writing was good and smooth i continued reading.
And it wasn't bad.
It was just very simple and quick. There wasn't any depth or angst. Just nice and cute story about finding your place in world. There's hot single dad in a small town and lost pretty women with tragic past. They meet fall in love the end.
But there was one thing what intrigued me in this story. It was her past and her other five childhood friends. I would really like to know their stories. I like the concept of passing of the car to each other when they need to find what they are missing in their lives.

Runaway Road calls out to my inner adventurist.
Londyn is a sweet and strong woman with a jagged past. After a major life shift, she decides she needs adventure and the open road.
Until she meets Brooks. I thoroughly enjoyed how Londyn and Brooks slowly melded together. It was a pleasure to read their story and fall in love with them. And I cannot wait to read Wild Highway!

ARC kindly provided in exchange of an honest review.
This was a really easy book to read and also extremely engaging. The action takes place in Summers, West Virginia, between the two main characters: Brooks and Londyn.
Londyn is a woman who recently got divorced and was ready to start a new life back in California (while she was married she lived in Boston, but she was originally from California). But on the way back, she had some issues with her car and had to take a break from the trip. Luckily, the mechanic who helped with the car’s repairs was also the man who would change her course. Brooks is a man who any woman would fall for. He is also a single hot dad who knew how to melt a runaways’ heart.
The book is beautifully written and has a lot of action, in particular with the Cadillac (Londyn’s car). I recommend it. It’s a nice romance and also, a book about hope and new beginnings (even when running away sounds better).

I loved the adventure that Londyn was on and how she found love when she was least expecting it. This was such a beautiful story of self-discovery. It was a wonderful world to get lost in. And oh my! How I adored Brooks, he was the sweetest! There was such a great build to them coming together, it was fantastic!
Londyn was such an excellent character. I love a strong heroine who owns who she is. I found her incredibly refreshing and loved how she put herself out there. I enjoyed learning about her and her past, her friends, and all she was going through in the present. I understood the need for freedom that she had and to be on the road. I loved Brooks, he was such a sweetheart. He's a bit flirty, very caring, and had a protective vibe I adored. I loved this instant attraction that they had and how it really built as they started opening up and sharing. I was filled with so much anticipation as their feelings grew. There were heartbreaking moments and emotional ones too but it was also filled with fun scenes that had me smiling and really great dialogue.
There’s a nice cast of characters involved with a small-town feel and a bit of a who-done-it element in play. I ate it up! I picked it up and didn’t want to put it down. I was just fascinated by it all and what Londyn had gone through and how she came out on the other side. I loved the different POVs and really appreciated getting to know both of their perspectives and why they both held certain things back.
There was a bit of mild drama, a whole lot of sweetness, a good amount of heat, and a lot of emotion. This was a charming story of healing, friendships, hope and love and I enjoyed every second! It was the perfect start to a new series and I’m excited where it all can go.
