Ryan Holiday knows how to write a self help book.
I found myself wanting to take notes from nearly every page, every passage, there was so much to take in from this book and so much to learn from.
There is an art form within upending obstacles and turning them into the best thing that ever happened to you and this book goes into so many examples of that. It’s brilliant. It’s a must read. It’ll be a re-read come a year or so.

Full of practical advice in bite-sized chapters. A modern day review of stoic philosophy, though a little too often couched in pro-business/entrepreneurial type language. The historical anecdotes weren't especially useful or insightful either. Still, gave me a lot to think about and was a quick, easy read.

This is a must read! It doesn’t matter what you do or what obstacles you face, Holidays philosophical perspective will turn your views into a dream chasing, motivational way of life.

I would give this book 6 stars if the rating existed. It was one of the best books I've ever read / listened to and one of the few I have in store to read again.
The book is about Stoicism and how to change ones perspective when faced with challenges or frustrations. I appreciate that the author read it himself even though he's not a professional reader. A huge recommendation for this relatively short book.
