The love interest both suck. The attorney is a child on a spring break and the cop feels sleezy and very pushy.
Them hauling a torso around town in their car somehow reads very low stakes? Why aren't they more worried wtf.. Also the ending felt like the writer wasn't sure who to blame so they just resulted in making the whole thing a senior accident. Feels lazy.

Loads of fun, great to have Finley and Vero back. I'll continue with the series, I'm sure!

This series is so fun and engaging, it’s only taking me a day to get through each book. This would be such a cute TV series, someone please make this happen! Still holding out for Julian because we don’t date cops. Sorry, not sorry Nick, ACAB!

Enjoyable, romp. Hint of romance. Crime caper.

The ending was laugh out loud funny.  It was a little less fun than the first book but still a great time.  I loved seeing Finlay's and Vero's relationship grow. I liked seeing their ingenuity. It was less sheer dumb luck and more investigative than the first book which made for a nice reading experience.
