What’s not to love? A fun, fast-paced, and humorous mystery/thriller sequel that is quite over the top/unrealistic…which makes it SO fun to read! Filled with mystery, thrills, romance, friendship and humor! I love me some Finlay and Vero and can’t wait to see what they get themselves into in book 3!

This was such a great sequel! It was fast paced and kept me guessing until the very end! The plot twist was shocking and I did not see it coming!!

The love interest both suck. The attorney is a child on a spring break and the cop feels sleezy and very pushy.
Them hauling a torso around town in their car somehow reads very low stakes? Why aren't they more worried wtf.. Also the ending felt like the writer wasn't sure who to blame so they just resulted in making the whole thing a senior accident. Feels lazy.

Loads of fun, great to have Finley and Vero back. I'll continue with the series, I'm sure!

Finlay Donovan is such a mess, but that's why we love her.

Another tale of bumbling misadventures with Finlay and Vero that's hard to put down once you pick it up. The second in a series, it's easy to see why Finlay has become a popular heroine in the mystery genre - because she (and these books) are so incredibly different than everything else out there.

Other mysteries are full of meticulous killers, and detectives that pick up on every little thing. Finlay and Vero are housewife and babysitter. They are messy and often use a breaking down minivan with kids carseats in the back as their getaway car. They leave evidence all over the place and barely know how to hide their own tracks. They are mischievous and accident prone and oh so much fun to dive into!

The twist in this one was a bit predicatable, but I really like how they've set-up book three.

Book three, here I come!

This is such a fun series when I am in the mood for a light mystery that has enough humor and hijinks to keep me happy. Finlay is again trying to finish her novel, while dealing with kids, an ex-husband, and all sorts of secrets. In this book, her ex-husband has been targeted by an online women's forum and Finlay has to figure out who is trying to murder him while avoiding any suspicion from her romantic admirers (which is very tricky to do with cool sports cars). Glad there are more books in this series!

This series is so fun and engaging, it’s only taking me a day to get through each book. This would be such a cute TV series, someone please make this happen! Still holding out for Julian because we don’t date cops. Sorry, not sorry Nick, ACAB!
