So excited that we get to keep living in Thezmarr. I’m so curious where Scheurer is taking the baddie plot and how she will find a way for Wren & Torj to be together (because they obviously have to be together). Good set up for a magical dangerous school of alchemy.

Iron & Ember was everything I expected and so much more. I loved Wren and Torj’s story had playful banter, danger, assassination attempts, and new friends. The story was a slow🐌 burn 🔥but the chemistry built until it exploded 💥🎇🎆. The story was excellent and kept me glued to the end. Unfortunately I was screaming by then and can’t wait until book two.

Carrying on with Wren's story after the epic conclusion of Thea's in the last book of the Legends of Thezmarr series. This new series starts off with a bang! Helen has such a gift of incredible world building, routed in enough reality that the reader can easily put themselves amongst the characters and make you feel like you're on a journey with them. This first book is hot, angsty, emotional and full of character growth that keeps you on your toes throughout. It's wonderful to see many of the characters we fell in love with from the first series making an appearance, but if you have read the Legends of Thezmarr series this still stands up as it's own story.

Not gonna lie this book took me a little while to get into, but...when I finally got into it it was fantastic. I absolutely adore Torj. The dynamic between him and Wren is full of angst.

The ending was heartbreaking and I can't wait to find out if they can mend what was broken between them.
