I really enjoyed this story. The forced proximity / main character stubbornness ratio was perfect. However - that twist at the ending?! RUDE. And I worry about the tropes it will setup for book 2, but am so here for Wren and Torj story
Some of the twists were super predictable and some were not, which I think is a great balance for a story
As always, Kip and Cal are excellent secondary characters and hope that continues going forward.

I loved it!! Wren and Tori stole the show in the Legends of Thezmarr series and I was so excited to see more of their thoughts and relationship in this one.

I love me an academy setting and I love me a good assassin. Wren is powerful in her own right, and I love how we can see different examples of strong women through Wren and her sister. It’s interesting how getting her perspective changes my perception of her character from previous series and I love the dangerous flare it gave her.

Torj, I love him, but gosh. He had me SOOOO ANGRY, in this book!! I’m like just make up your mind! The will they or won’t they hurt sooo good.

I’m really looking forward to the new big bad of the book and the overarching plot and seeing Wren come into her own and hopefully Torj gets a solid backbone and fights for our girl! Luckily I don’t have to wait long for the next one!!
