I enjoyed this spinoff even more than the blood and steel series - Wren and Torj have my heart forever. The end bit with the gauntlet felt a little rushed, and I don't love the soul bond development. But I still loved this book and can't wait for the next one!

It’s a classic romantasy however I feel like I’ve missed out on a lot of emotional connection with these characters by not reading the prequel series first. We hear of the events but there no real connection to them as a reader. I think this story would have been more impactful if I had that. Not a good pick by fairyloot

Ms. Helen has done it again! Beautiful story. Wonderful to be back in that world with Torj and Wren. Experiencing their love story had me frustrated, swooning and heart eyed. Can’t wait for the next 2 books! And THANK YOU for not making us wait an eternity for them
