DNF I picked this up because I like the movie adaptation, but this takes it to a place beyond the vampire horror that I enjoy. It’s a little too dark and disturbing for me.

This book shows teenage loneliness very well. Three stars because I think it would've packed more of a punch if it were 100-150 pages shorter. It dragged on too long, but the ending saved it for me.

It’s hard for me to rate this book. Overall I found the story very heavy and compelling and so interesting but it was also really really fucked up.
This book made me feel really gross. I know that’s the point, but like… really gross. Be forewarned, the pedophilia and cp are very graphic.

I really enjoyed the Eli character and a lot of the nuance the books has to offer, but the Hakan character I definitely struggled with and even had to skip past a few of those parts.
