anyone reviewing this like it’s meant to be incredibly serious mind-blowing sci-fi literature is missing the point.

If you have read the book you have to wonder why they added THAT scene at the beginning? Did anyone sign up for that in a fantasy smut book? It didn't help that

the character who got SA'd died off and everybody was like eh.

What kind of messaging is the author giving through this? Also the heroine was an idiot and deserved all of the remarks she got because of her actions

HELLO SHE ELOPED WITH AN ALIEN! I don't care for any excuses, the women were dying on her watch

Overall I recommend any other smut book because of the first point I brought up. Also dub con.
