There's a graphic rape scene in the beginning, but there's an additional sexual assault

when the MCs first meet — there's no consent, and

that's not TRULY addressed in these pages at all. It's mentioned again later... But there are no emotions about it. Even later,

there are mentions of Georgie wanting to make sure the other girls' "no"s will be respected if they say no. Vektal can't imagine that ever not happening... But, again, he didn't get a yes when he first "meets" Georgie. So.

Also want to speak to ableism tag above directly because I'm not seeing it in other reviews: someone "deformed" shouldn't feel any more "lucky" to be desired sexually than any one else.

Not my normal..er.. preference in a book. Five stars for actually surprising me. It is a dumb book to be sure. I don’t for the life of me know why I enjoyed it so much. I’ve read spicer. So not that. It was funny for sure.

Well I didn't know what to expect going in and honestly still don't know what I think. I enjoyed the relationship between Georgie and Vektal and them learning about each other and learning to communicate. Some spicy scenes which were interesting and Vektal was strangely sweet and respectful. Georgie was brave but so very human with her thought processes. Interesting planet and plot, lots of hardship for 188 pages but so nice moments as well. 

Also, was not expecting a rape scene like 10 pages in so be prepared for that.

So I went into this interested and knew the trigger warnings. I just did not expect so much sex. The storyline was very interesting and what helped me finish. I could have done without all the sex though. For the most part, I enjoyed the book and feeling like I was there on the ice planet with them.
