A very pleasant and heartfelt read, got through the book quite fast—couldn't put it down! There were a handful of chapters that I found a bit difficult to get through but the earlier chapters I enjoyed immensely. From time to time, I did want to whack Arthur with a wet piece of bread or I was found practically screaming at Gwen in my mind, but the best part was seeing their progression as I ate through each chapter. I will say my favorite character was the cat, Lucifer :)

The ending wasn't what I was expecting but it was a welcome one, a very sweet read and full of romance and very much Gwen & Art not in love.

I received an eARC courtesy of St. Martin's Press/Wednesday Books via NetGalley & Edelweiss in exchange for my honest review.

I am all for retellings of the Arthurian legend, so I was really looking forward to this. The overall story was very intriguing and I found the characters to be immensely likeable. There were pacing issues at times, but overall this was great.

I really enjoyed the story. Gwen and Arthur have great bickering and banter. I would have loved to get to know Bridget better.

Also, sometimes it felt like the story went a little to fast and like i missed some information. So that makes it a 3,75 for me!
