I liked this book. It took a little getting used to though, because every other chapter was a "picture" from the past.

A great book that gets you in the mind of a foster child. Sad and true with a happy ending that we hope all foster kids could have.

Read this one as Cassidy's pick for her book club. I loved it. A bit of a tear-jerker, but a sweet ending so all is okay!

I'm gonna name my kid after the main character in this book! I love you, Patricia Reilly Giff! Thank you for this book because it changed my life!

The number of stars awarded to this book broke the scale and all the stars went tumbling off the table and some got lost in the shag rug so watch where you step. They're pointy little guys.

Total Score: ∞/5. We can't put a number on a perfect thing! We aren't gonna try!

I didn't really have high expectations going into this book, but I really really enjoyed this book! The story and plot was amazing. Its fascinating how the author managed fit such an amazing story into 166 pages. Although at the end Hollis just stumbles into Steven. I know it was supposed to be a Christmas miracle but I still was very confused with how sudden he showed up.

Other than that I loved this book and would totally recommend!
