A girl runs away from home, gets raped, and dies. It takes 1500 pages.

CW: antisemitism, SA, r*pe implied and later many mentions

I'm doing the Tiktok 2023 Clarissa Challenge! Started two months late, but caught up in less than a week.
--------
Ought to be titled: "Clarissa, or, the Author Tortures a Young Lady!"

The only good thing about this book is the friend, Miss Anna Howe and her attitude-filled letters! She reminds me of my bffs, so credit to the author for that at least.

But, oh, the villain!!! He is so despicable and so pathetic! I might hate him even more than Heathcliff!
‐-------
Final thoughts:
I hate Lovelace more than Heathcliff.

This book wasn't for me. English isn't my first language so it was really hard to follow what is going on. I just gave up.
