I can finally say that at the age of 20 I finally own this book. I love this tale so much and I am probably going to be reading it and gifting it to other people all month long although the min moral here is that Xmas doesn't come wrapped up in boxes.
2017: I love this to no extent; will read at least once every year--the Grinch is a defining marker of my childhood and his realization that Xmas doesn't come in a store is a lesson we all ought to know.

A holiday classic about the grinch who discovers that Christmas is about more than just gifts. I grew up reading this book and watching the tv special based on it every Christmas. It is a favorite. I recently reread the 50th anniversary edition which includes a very interesting retrospective with archival images that tell the history and background of the story. It is well worth the read.

It’s a classic Christmas story that is just so much fun to read! What’s not to love? I love Dr Seuss and this is one of the best. Buy it for a child you know if they don’t already have a copy!

I bought this because this year I'm really not feeling in the Christmas spirit and I wanted to read this before I rewatch the movie and I had a great time. I had never read a Dr Seuss book before but it was super fun and I really liked it.
