These poems just were not for me. I didn’t enjoy any I’m afraid.

I’ve always struggled with reading poetry but Oscar Wilde writes like the everyman and so it’s much easier to understand. I still had to reread many poems to catch the meaning, or move to a quieter room, but overall I enjoyed the book of poems. Requiescat was my favorite, likely because I recently lost a family member and this sounded like a nice tribute to her.

4/5 solely because of ‘the ballad of reading gaol’ and ‘roses and rue’.

Basically, this book deserves 5 stars simply for Wilde's "Ballad of Reading Gaol". Beautiful.

really good!!! i adore his poems stylistically and i absolutely adore oscar wilde's word choices. i can't say i like his other work more than his poetry, it's just different. not in a bad way at all.

I’m definitely not a poetry person. Wilde is his own category, so I thought I’d give it a shot.  Sticking to prose.

I adore Oscar Wilde. This man was a genius with a pen. His poetry is SO beautiful and amazingly written. He has such a way with words. His poetry covers many topics like love, mythology, religion and politics. I enjoyed almost every single one of his poems and was left stunned while reading some of them.

His life story is also very interesting and i want to read anything this guy has written he's truly just so talented and amazing.

My favourite poems were:
Panthea, Endymion for music and The Ballad of Reading Gaol. They all had a long lasting impact on me and theyre so beautiful and well written.

I would rave about Oscar Wilde all day to anyone who would listen i just love him and his writing so much.
