it was pretty good. I think that the main character is really growing though the series.

Enjoyable and full of unexpected twists. This dark YA UF is interesting at all points in the story. The characters are fascinating and damaged. Their struggles are sometimes difficult to read and heart breaking. They grow with them and the story takes off... I can't wait to see what is next

The Reading Rush 2019

This was pretty disappointing honestly, and I didn't even have that high of expectations for it. Bianca really annoyed me in this, to the point of me wanting to just slap her and tell her how stupid she was being.

The romance was lackluster and uninspired. The only thing this series had going for it was bland as hell.

As for the plot, I'd ask 'what plot'? Barely anything happened. But there's gho- sorry, wraiths, and there's a bad vampire tribe, so surely that makes everything exciting, right? No. Not even a little. Which is actually quite impressive.

The only time I could even consider being interested was when Balthazar was around, and I kinda liked the idea of him and Bianca being together.... Before the book ruined all of that too, with his constant attempts to defend his psycho pants sister. Plus Claudia Gray banished any enjoyment and hope I had for the couple by making Balty like Bianca mainly because she reminded him of a past girlfriend. That killed all the romance for me.

The ending was actually pretty interesting
Spoilerand I kinda like the idea of Bianca becoming a vampire hunter. If well executed, it could be pretty great.
But that being said, I still don't know if I will actually pick up the next one. Only time will tell....

*spiler alert, bez spoilera, jer ružno izgledaju*

To me zadivilo!

There are moments I hate Sarah J. Maas. Because it's thanks to Sarah J. Maas that I forbid myself to binge-read series. It maybe sounds a little stupid, but after reading all Sarah J. Maas books back to back, I had a reading slump that lasted like 3 months where not one book was good enough or what I wanted and needed. And therefore I counted the last week down until I could pick up this second book in the Evernight series.

One thing that really stands out in this second book is the build up. Claudia Gray makes sure to build up literally everything, leaving bits and pieces of information throughout the story, moving all the characters to the right spots and into the right moods. In the end that pays off and the finale is that exciting that I didn't want to put my book down until I was done reading. I love how the ending DID surprise me in a way, but how I noticed immediately where Claudia Gray had hinted at what we could expect.

In this book we get to see quite a lot more from Balthazar, who is now becoming really more of a character with his own characteristics and backstory instead of just the boy longing for a girl who's in love with someone else. I can't wait to make it to his novel and to read his story, because he certainly seems interesting and with a lot of history to tell!

Balthazar isn't the only side character who grows into much more during this story. Vic and Raquel are getting more screentime too and therefore we get to know them a lot better. I hope that in the next book the two of them will get an even bigger role, because they're really interesting to read about!

But, we also get to see a lot less of Lucas, which is something I understand, but I did miss him. The few times we do see him in the book are like a breath of fresh air though and I can't wait to see more of him in the next book.

And, I still like Bianca. Bianca is a relatable, kind and understandable character. She doesn't always do the best thing, but she does make choices I can follow and understand. I also like how realistic her reactions to all the twists and turns are, how human she is, despite the fact that she's not.

So, let's start the count down again! Next week, Thursday: Hourglass!

I've read the dialogues, barely a plot.
instead of developing the plot is a book about dates between 2 characters

300+ page just to have new information in 3/4 chapters.

If you liked/loved the first one, as did I, you'll like/love this one too. It has the same storyline and plot as the first book, but there are many other twists contained in this installment. I enjoyed this one, but I personally liked the first book better. Stargazer left me confused as to who Bianca really has feelings for. Balthazar (whoo hoo!!! ♥), or Lucas (ehh, he's okay). Questions were left unanswered, and Stargazer ended up being too dramatic (and a little depressing). It was a slight waste of time. I wouldn't read further on the series, but I will anyway because I'm curious as to how the series can end. I also would really like to have some of my questions answered!
