This book was AMAZING! I was shocked by just how scary the book was. I have read many horror books, including those that cover possession, but something about this book was very scary. The mix of psychological and paranormal horror was beautifully done. The entire book has a mounting sense of dread which makes the reader feel like they are a part of the story. The push and pull between the sisters just enhanced the tension building toward the end of the book.  Overall, the book was very well written and managed to scare me and make me sad all at once!

This book was pretty middle of the road. The tropes are a little played out- haunting vs. mental illness, etc. It is short, so an easy and quick Halloween read. I’d recommend this to anyone who is looking for a spooky book that isn’t too graphic or violent.
