This book is definitely worth a read if you’re already familiar with Dostoevsky’s work and it helps contextualize him as a man and as an author. It provides further insight into the themes and motifs in his more well-known books, while being interesting in its own right. The style of writing is an exquisite blend of fiction and reality with the result being surprisingly readable despite the heavy content.
